The Family Portal can be used to access your student’s results for FAST Star assessments VPK-2 for 2022-2023 onwards. This includes Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, and Star Mathematics.

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Parent Webinars

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) webinars in three languages are now available below and on the M-DCPS Parent Academy website, https://parentacademymiami.com/ .  The videos are between 13 and 18 minutes long and provide parents with an overview of the assessments as well as step-by-step instructions on how to log in to the FDOE Family Portal to view assessment results.

Superintendent’s 5K Challenge Race for Education

Join the Miami Springs Middle School Family for the 8th Annual Superintendent’s 5K Challenge Race for Education which will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023. The race will take place at Maurice A. Ferre Park (Museum Park) in Downtown Miami between the FTX Arena and the Frost Museum of Science. Adults can register for the 5K and run or walk the course. Middle school students can register for a 5K run/walk or a 1-mile run (ages 12 and under).

Participant fees for the race are $30.00 for adults, plus a $2.80 registration fee, and $10.00 for students, plus a $1.60 registration fee. Register before Saturday, February 18th, 2023. You can visit https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Miami/Super5KRaceForEducation. to register for the race. Make sure to select “Miami Springs Middle School 6521” when registering. All participating schools receive a portion of proceeds from the registration fees.
